Nuestro país cuenta ya con empresas e instituciones a la altura de sus necesidades, y puede ufanarse de que este progreso ha sido respaldado por el esfuerzo entusiasta y decidido de obreros y técnicos mexicanos. Clayton de México S.A. de C.V. se encuentra entre estas empresas. En el año de 1959, el Sr. Tomás Valladares R., fundador y actual Director General, inició operaciones como distribuidor exclusivo de Clayton Manufacturing Co., de City of Industry, California, USA. Pocos años después, a consecuencia del cierre de fronteras a la importación de calderas de vapor, en 1962 Clayton de México se incorpora a la industria nacional como fabricante de calderas. 
Hoy en día, Clayton de México, S.A. de C.V., es una gran familia formada por unas 230 personas, que no escatiman esfuerzos para servir a sus clientes y mantener en alto el prestigio de la compañía. Adicionalmente, la empresa cuenta con 7,000 m2. de modernas y funcionales oficinas y planta de fabricación, dotada de los últimos adelantos en maquinaria y equipo. 
Más de 6,000 instalaciones de equipos Clayton en toda la República y América Latina en industrias e instituciones privadas y públicas, constituyen el mejor testimonio de prestigio y servicio comprobado a través de más de 50 años de trayectoria. Todos los productos de Clayton se sujetan a un riguroso control de calidad, el cual se aplica desde la materia prima, en la línea de producción y finalmente al producto terminado. 

MERCADO HOTELERO
Los generadores de vapor Clayton son utilizados en un amplio rango de aplicaciones donde las demandas de los procesos requieren de un suministro de vapor capaz de cubrir dichas demandas. Una completa línea de productos con características únicas para generar vapor de alta calidad, a presiones de hasta 3000 PSI, permiten ser particularmente adecuados para las necesidades de diversas industrias, tales como: hotelería, aeroespacial, marítima y ultramar, química, automotriz, generadores de electricidad, servicios en general, etc.
Específicamente para el mercado hotelero, Clayton de México ofrece generadores de agua caliente y vapor, incluyendo la nueva generación de productos a gas, diesel y gas-diesel, con  capacidad de 10 a 1500 bhp para vapor, y de 84,360 a 843,600 kcal/hr. Además de agua caliente, otra aplicación hotelera es el calentamiento de agua en albercas. 
Entre las ventajas de los generadores de agua caliente y vapor de Clayton podemos mencionar: ahorradores de combustible, flexibilidad de operación, totalmente integrado, funcional y confortable, absoluta seguridad, ahorro de tiempo en el arranque y vapor de alta calidad, entre otras. Entre los clientes principales de Clayton de México en el sector hotelero están: Hyatt Regency Mexico City, Las Mañanitas Hotel, Cabo Azul – Los Cabos, Sevilla Palace Hotel, Fiesta Inn, Holiday Inn Express, Beverly Hotel, Park Villa Hotel.
